Lama Temple
Portal is too little, Home Wall is too much?
Temple is exactly right.
Temple is a compact, mini adjustable climbing wall that fits almost anywhere - no drilling into walls, no big investment, no compromises. For climbers who want to train hard at home, even without space for a full-size adjustable wall.
Small wall.
Big training.
5° to 35°. From endurance laps to brutal power boulder problems on steep overhangs.
3 configurations — 8, 9, or 10 ft. Choose based on the space you have available. You can also add a fold-out extender that extends the climbing board by another 40 cm.
No drilling, no anchoring to the wall. You can set up Temple anywhere and take it with you when you move.
15mm plywood and spruce beams. Robust construction, nothing wobbles.
Made in Lama Lab in the Jizera Mountains, we ship worldwide via standard parcel service.
Tilting
that makes sense.
Temple is a compact, freestanding mini adjustable climbing wall for full-fledged home climbing training. An angle from 5° to 35° covers the entire training spectrum, from endurance laps on jugs to power boulder problems on steep overhangs. One wall. Endless training possibilities.
We built Temple from 15mm durable plywood and spruce beams - no compromises on structural strength. It's robust and sturdy, easily supporting heavier climbers too. The surface is untreated, so you can finish it exactly to your taste, or simply leave it as is - it works and looks great either way.
Temple dimensions
One angle
for every workout.
The wall adjusts between 5° and 35°. Each incline opens up a different training zone - during a single session you can easily "switch" between them all.
Endurance laps on jugs and bigger edges. The basic building block of training.
Strength endurance and more technical boulders. Medium-length laps on more demanding holds.
Short power boulders. Maximum finger and body strength. Footwork on a real overhang.
Choose your height
based on your ceiling.
Temple adapts to your space - simply choose the configuration based on your ceiling height. The width of the main boards is the same across all variants, 120 cm.
| Climbing board height | Number of climbing segments | Number of foothold segments |
|---|---|---|
| 8 ft / 240 cm | 3 | 2 |
| 9 ft / 270 cm | 4 | 3 |
| 10 ft / 300 cm | 5 | 4 |

Frequently asked
questions about Temple.
Dimensions and space
What's the minimum ceiling height I need for Temple?
Temple in its "folded" state, i.e. at the minimum incline, is about 238 cm tall.
How much space does the wall take up in width and depth when fully extended?
About 260 x 290 cm (width, depth) when fully extended.
How much space does Temple take up when I'm not using it / when it's folded?
About 190 x 100 cm (width, depth)
Can I buy the extender later, or do I need to decide right at order time?
Sure, you can add it anytime later too.
What's the difference between the 8, 9, and 10 ft configurations – how do I know which one is right for me?
They differ in the number of segments (boards) fitted with holds: 8 ft = 3 boards, 9 ft = 4 boards, 10 ft = 5 boards. We recommend placing at least 15 - 20 holds per board.
Construction and installation
Do I really not need to drill into the wall or ceiling?
Temple's structure is 100% self-supporting. You don't drill a single screw into the wall, floor, or ceiling.
How does the wall stand on its own – isn't there a risk it tips over or shifts while climbing?
We designed Temple to be genuinely stable at every incline. That said, never climb on it from the other (back) side.
How hard is assembly, how long does it take, and can I do it myself?
Putting Temple together isn't rocket science. All you need is a cordless drill and about 1–2 hours (not counting mounting the holds).
Can I take Temple apart and put it back together, say when moving?
Sure, and you don't even have to take it apart completely. We ship Temple very compactly to stay within carriers' size and weight limits for parcels.
Do I need to anchor the wall to the floor in any way?
No. Temple is 100% self-supporting - its own structure is enough for stability, and it isn't anchored anywhere.
Is Temple suitable for kids too?
Yes, but under adult supervision. It's not a toy. Under no circumstances should anyone climb on Temple from the back side. Improper use can lead to serious injury.
Adjusting the angle
How is the angle adjusted – do I need tools for that?
Temple's tilting mechanism uses slotted side boards. Simply loosen a few locking nuts by hand, tilt Temple to the desired angle, and tighten the nuts back up. No special tools needed.
Can the angle be changed during a single training session?
Yes, you can easily "switch" between the different inclines (5–35°) within a single session.
What incline is suitable for beginners?
For starters, we recommend lower inclines of 5–10° to build basic endurance. As your climbing level improves, simply increase the angle. Of course, the holds and footholds you climb on also make a big difference.
Material and load capacity
What's the maximum climber weight the wall can support?
Temple is rated for one climber at a time, with a maximum load of 150 kg.
Do I need to treat the surface somehow (paint, sealant), or is it ready to use right away?
The surface is untreated, but it works (and looks!) great as is. If you want, you can finish Temple to your own taste, but it's not necessary.
Holds and accessories
Are holds and footholds included in the price of the wall?
No. Holds need to be purchased separately.
Which holds should I choose and how many will I need?
The number and type of holds depend on many factors. Of course, the more the better. We recommend at least 15 - 20 holds per board. The easiest option is to get our ready-made hold set for Temple, or just reach out and we'll help you choose.
Do standard holds from other manufacturers fit on Temple?
Yes. The boards have a standard hole grid with M10 nuts, so regular holds from any manufacturer will fit. Holds without a bolt can also be screwed on anywhere on the board using wood screws.
Do you also offer a hold set to add on directly?
Yes, you can add a hold set suitable for Temple directly to your cart.
Order, shipping, service
Where do you ship Temple from and how long does delivery take?
We ship directly from Lama Lab in the Jizera Mountains. Delivery takes about 2 business days from dispatch.
How does the wall arrive – in one package or several?
We ship Temple in several separate packages so we can use standard parcel delivery.
Do you deliver outside the Czech Republic?
Yes, we ship via standard parcel service to almost anywhere in the world.
Little space.
Lots of training.
Choose your height based on your ceiling and add a hold set. Temple is ready to train on within a few hours.
